Dania Vizzi, also known as “Shooterina”, who is 29 years old was born on March 24, 1995, in Tampa, Florida, and her hometown is Odessa, Florida. She is the daughter of AJ and Doree Vizzi and has a sibling named DeVanee. Vizzi stands at a height of 5 feet 7 inches.

Vizzi graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in marketing. She is a full-time student and a dedicated international skeet shooter, balancing her academic chasing with her careful training regime. Her hobbies include boxing, baking, dancing, and shooting. Her coach is Todd Graves, and her club is the Silver Dollar Shooters Club.

Vizzi’s love for shotgun shooting started at a young age, after seeing her father shoot. She had another talent for dancing and was even admitted to the Juilliard Dance Intensive, one of the world’s best courses for young dancers. However, Vizzi chose to focus on shooting instead.

Vizzi has been a long-time member of Team Winchester and plays an important role as an ambassador for shooting sports. She uses a specialized Winchester AA ammunition load that is designed to meet the strict ISSF (International Shooting Sports Federation) rules.

When and how did Dania Vizzi start her Shooting Career?

She started shooting at a young age, but it wasn’t until she was 16 that she fell in love with the sport. This shift in passion led her to focus entirely on shotgun shooting and follow a career in the shooting industry. Vizzi has been claiming titles in junior, national, and world events for years.

In 2011, she secured a 4th place finish at the National Championships. In 2012, she won a silver medal at the Junior Olympics.

In 2013, she had an impressive year, becoming the Junior Champion at the Spring Selection Match, Junior Olympic Champion, and Junior Silver Medalist at the National Championships and World Championships. She was crowned the Junior World Champion In 2014.

In 2015, she was the Junior National Champion, won a bronze medal at the National Championships and World Championships, and also earned a bronze medal at the Junior level. She secured a silver medal at the National Championships in 2016.

In 2017, she had an outstanding year, becoming the National Champion, winning a bronze medal at the World Cup Finals, a silver medal in the Mixed Skeet Team event at the World Championships, and was also the World Champion. In 2019, she won a bronze medal at the Pan Am Games.

Dania Vizzi’s Shooting Career So Far

In 2022, she won gold medals in the Women’s Skeet Team category at the World Cup events in Lima, Lonato, and the World Championship. She also won a gold medal in the Mixed Skeet Team event at the Championships of the Americas and qualified for the Women’s Skeet event at the upcoming Olympics. Additionally, she won a silver medal in the Women’s Skeet Team event at the World Cup in Cyprus.

At the 2023 USA Shooting Nationals, Vizzi claimed a silver medal in the Women’s Skeet event. She was consistent throughout the match, including four perfect rounds in a row – an impressive feat in the fast-paced International Skeet discipline. Vizzi finished with a total score of 242/250, tying with her teammate Austen Smith, who ultimately won the event in a shoot-off.
